If I saw you, would I flee? Would I cry? Would I freeze? Would I finally stand for her? That little girl, all innocence and smiles, you condemned to this life of nightmares
and flashbacks, of shame and guilt that should never be hers. I hope I stand. Revenge would be sweet. You deserve it but what would I do?

Vultures circling around their prey. Praying for a brief respite. The minimum of personal space. A mouse in a cat’s claw, counting the minutes until the end.
Perspiration lining their brows. Heaven forbid they should faint, they’d take up too much space! O the embarrassment! Some would think they’re human.
